Passed Google Cloud Digital Leader
Background
My company gave me the opportunity to attend Google Cloud Next in Las Vegas 2026 in person. To access the certification lounge at the venue, a valid Google Cloud certification is required, so I decided to sit the exam!
What is Cloud Digital Leader?
Cloud Digital Leader is an entry-level certification offered by Google Cloud. It targets not only engineers but also business roles, covering fundamental cloud concepts and an understanding of Google Cloud’s core services.
How I Studied
I passed with around 5 hours of study using the following resources:
- Official practice exam — useful for understanding the exam format and question style
- G-gen’s exam guide article — clear Japanese-language guide for certification
- AI explanations — I had AI walk me through individual services to deepen my understanding
Thoughts
Since the exam targets a broader audience beyond engineers, the difficulty is relatively low and I was able to pass in a short time. It was a great opportunity to systematically learn Google Cloud’s core service lineup. One thing that stood out to me was seeing SRE-related questions in the exam.
